Because all of you beautiful blogging women inspire me to get out of my sweats and into a dress this one is just for all of you.  I don't own a ton of vintage but this is one of my absolute favorite dresses.  I hope you like it.

Thanks so much for all your sweet encouragement, I wish I could have you all over for an evening of dress up and cosmos.

Perfect spot

I love that when I am out running errands or playing with friends Chris records the animals or takes pictures of them for me.  Ain't he sweet?  This one is from a few days ago.

The sofa was first Peetee's spot then Zoe moved in and now little Ash is trying to stake claim, that is until she rolls off.

Hot Redheads

I am a natural redhead and quite proud of it,  however it wasn't  always that way. When I was in grade school and even some of high school I hated my hair.  I was teased and called lil orphan Annie and I really thought boys would never like me because I was a redhead.  Over the years I have realized that being a redhead is more attitude than being born with it.  Here are some redheads real and not so real that I adore.  First is my absolute favorite Tori Amos.

I love the cover art on this comic book, all the illustrations are to Tori Amos songs and every song has a different artist's work.   I have spent many an hour looking at these pages.

No collection of redheads would be complete without this siren of the sea, Ariel.

Traci Hines is a real life mermaid.

Here are some random facts about redheads.
1) Red hair is a genetic mutation.
2) Scotland has the highest population of redheads at about 13%.
3) In France it is thought that to be a redhead is a very bad fate.
4) In Denmark it is an honor to have a redheaded child.
5) Only about 2% of people in the USA have natural red hair.

Life is so much better when you can love yourself as you are!

Who doesn't like free crap?

I had the most wonderful surprise waiting for me this morning and I can't wait to share it with you. I found this blog that is pretty incredible called Free Crappy Portraits .  They are anything but crappy way more like cute.  I sent them a picture of Peetee and his favorite monster toy that he so proudly mounts whenever we have guests over.  At first it was pretty embarrassing and now I just don't give a hoot. Anyway that is the quick description I gave them and sent along this photo...

Big hug to the people of Norway

I still can't get over how one man could inflict so much pain on so many people.  The fact that he wrote a 1500 page manifesto detailing his point of view and plan of action blows my mind.   I don't want to spend any time talking about him or his cause we can all read about that in the news but I do want to show some images of how beautiful Norway is and the people who live there.  My heart is heavy for what they have endured.

Did you know that Norway:
1) Is known as the land of the midnight sun.
2) They have the second wealthiest population in the world.
3) Hydro power accounts for 99% of all power.
4) In Norway a college education is free.
5) It is the birthplace of black metal.

They are a beautiful and diverse population.

One ship + 40 bands + 2300 headbangers= PARADISE

I can't believe this is happening.  One of my all time favorite bands, My Dying Bride is coming to the USA...sort of.  Have you ever heard of 70,000 tons of metal?  It's a 4 day cruise leaving Miami and going to the Cayman Islands but wait there is more!  There will 40 metal band playing over the entire course of the cruise.  Poolside metal anyone?  Uh yeah me!!!! It is a bit pricy, ok it's super expensive but oh how I am dreaming about going with my best friend.  Here are some images from last year.

Easter Bonnet in July

Yesterday the sun made some brief appearances and it was warm enough for me to ditch the sweats that I have been wearing WAY too much.  Since I also mentioned how much I love hats I thought I should show off one of my favorites.  

Its made of a sheer turquoise and light as a feather on my head.

A favorite locket of mine by Betsey Johnson.  I love almost everything she makes!

I also really like this silver flower bracelet complete with BLING!
